Temple of Isis

(Darkside Campaign Adventure 1)

Background: For years Lady Lauren Vale has been pushing her beliefs on anyone who would listen.  Her self-righteousness and general feeling of superiority has led to a great rift between her, Steven, and the rest of the group.  She has been reluctant to help in group causes and  has been persuaded only by the promise of more treasure.  She was so  concerned with matters at her temple that she had to be pressured into staying with the group and helping defeat the Vendol.

She refused to help the group on The Ghost adventure; knowing that allowing them to adventure without a cleric, would be quite dangerous.  But she had important matters at her temple.  Perhaps a floor needed swept or peasant had a sick cow.  Or perhaps, she was more interested in laying with her lover Shi-Hulud.  Lady's arrogance has no limit and she has even gone so far as to publically ridicule Steven and the group, claiming they are really cowards and are no more intelligent than the village idiot.

Completed Adventure

June 28, 1203: Steven and rest of the Axis of Evil (Quinlan, Renchor, Roman, Calee, Kackarot, Saddanar, Davik, and Torlane) have had enough of Lady's arrogance and descend upon the Temple of Isis with great fury.  Using his battle axe, Roman kills the guards at the temple's main entrance.  Steven, Roman, and Davik burst into the temple proper and begin the slaughter.

The followers of Isis are holding service and are easy prey.  Davik summons a fire storm to incinerate the ??  Roman hacks mercilessly on the shocked and dazed priests, and Steven unleashes some unholy power to add more carnage to the devastation.

The attack start when Roman full out swung at the two guards/clergymen (can't remember which) that had come out to meet with him and Steven and Blaine's druid. Then Blaine's druid stepped into the doorway and let loose a firestorm in the middle of the congregation. Those guys moved up as the rest of the party rushed the entrance to the temple. As more members of the temple came out they got picked off. Roman and Quinlan rushed up onto the dais-type area (the area where the one priest was standing when we first stormed in). Steven held his ground in the center of the room when Lady and another appeared in a doorway off to the left side of the building and she cast a blade barrier that separated the room right in front of Lord Steven. Blaine's druid dispelled that but before anyone could engage Lady she teleported out. I do remember that Rob's shadow was obliterated. That help any?

As the battle rages inside the temple, Saddanar and his Wraith attack the guards at the temple's side entrance.  A moment, one of the guards is dead and the other is having its life drained by the Wraith.
